When Mai was a little baby, she did not look like a pure Japanese at all. In my mind, most of the pure Japanese have thick eyebrows. Unfortunately, I think both of my children got the thin eyebrows from me. One day right after I fed Mai (she was about two and half weeks old), I made "Seaweed game" as one of our family traditions. Now, it's time for Haru to play this "Seaweed game". The similarity between Mai and Haru is so strong that they are really sister and brother.

當Mai還只是2個多星期大的小北鼻時, 我做了"海苔"眉毛給她. 當時只覺得好玩並沒有太多的想法.等第弟Haru出生了, 我才又想到也讓他當當有粗眉毛的小日本鬼子.
一照完像才發現, Mai和Haru真的好像. 也真的有越來越多了人告訴我們, 她們兩姊弟真的很像. 我的小寶貝和小小寶貝真的是太像Hiro了. 希望我們下一個孩子也能像像我,這樣子我會覺得比較公平..........:p

Super Star and Big Fan

Well, we believe that Mai's gonna be famous someday.
In my mind, she already is a "Super Star".
As Haru, he is gonna be a biggest fan.

我們真的相信有一天Mai會出名,
在我的心目中, 她早就是個Super Star了.
而我們的弟弟將會是頭號粉絲吧!

Big Sister

After having Haru into our family, Mai seems to grow up so much and fast. Sometimes, we even forget that she is only two and half years old. She loves to kiss and touch Haru's face. She wants to help me feed him baby food all the time. She brings a blanket for him when we hold Haru into the living room. She reminds me to turn down the voice (when I am mad at her) during the time Haru is sleeping. What a smart girl she is!................:p
Recently, I am extremely busy in cooking, cleaning, and doing so many housing works. At the same time, Mai usually comes to take care of Haru and talk to him. She makes up stroies and speaks to Haru. Mai imitates my voice and pose to tell Haru stroies. Although she is not yet 3 years old, to Hiro and me, she is a Big Sister already.

自從Haru出生後,Mai好像一系之間長大了. 那個在我們眼中的小寶貝現在是個姊姊了. 有時候我們真的在要求她的同時,忘記了Mai還只是個2歲半的孩子. 她很喜歡親親弟弟的臉,也會很輕柔地摸摸Haru的臉手. 2歲半的她也會細心的隨時注意弟弟需不需毯子. 更妙地是,聰明她現在已經學會避免我大聲罵她的絕招了.
當她犯錯時,她會說, "Mommy, 噓!小聲點啦! Haru chan在sleeping."
近來我真的非常忙碌,房子就那麼小,每天還是有做不完的家事. 幸好我們家的姊姊很體貼我. 她現在很喜歡對Haru講故事. Mai自己會搬張小凳子,然後開始跟弟弟講她自己編撰的故事. 看著這個才2歲多的孩子,真的覺得我們家的寶貝女兒現在是個大姊姊了.

A thought about Christmas

I don't know how to express my feeling exactly. In 2007, our family go through many challenges. First, Hiro went to Singapore for job searching in the end of December of 2006. Then, we decided to move back to Japan around January in 2007. A few weeks later, I found out that I carried another baby inside my body. However, I almost miscarried my baby so that I got to stay in Taiwan with Mai for another three months. Mai and I did miss Hiro everyday. We went through many big events without being with Hiro, a lonely Christmas, New Year celebration, Chinese New Year and even Hiro's B-day. In the middle of 2007, I again took Mai back to Taiwan and went to L.A. Hiro and I were almost apart for 5 months. It was hard for Hiro not able to be with us when Haru was born. It was hard for me to go labor by myself and pushed Haru alone. It was hard for Mai to not hugging Hiro and playing with him.
Tonight, when I sit down with my own family, I just want to thank to Heavenly Father. It cannot be better to be with my own family on this wonderful holiday. Watching Mai opens her presents from us, family, friends, and Santa, I really want to yell to everyone that I love my family.
Early before when Hiro asked me about the Christmas gift for this year, I did not really have something in my mind. Now, I know what I want to have the gift for this year which is being with Hiro, kids and just staying together.
Although it's a cold day, my heart is so warm.

真不知道該怎麼表達我內心的感覺

2007真的是充滿挑戰的一年

我們從Hawaii搬家, Hiro到新加坡, 我則和Mai在台灣等待他

不久後我發現我又要當mommy了

但是初期的懷孕讓我差點就失去寶貝孩子

不得已下我得留在台灣接受媽媽的照顧和幫忙

Hiro和我及Mai錯過了好多美好的holidays, 2006年的Christmas,

新年和台灣的農曆年

我想念Hiro

Mai想念Hiro

Hiro想念我們

在這麼寒冷的天氣下

在一個我不太熟悉的國度裡

在經歷那麼多的挑戰和分離
我們終於可以在一起

渡過一個這麼棒的X'mas

手中抱著小小寶貝, 輕輕遙遙他

看著Mai開開心心的吃著Hiro特別準備的聖誕蛋糕

我真的很感激天父

Hiro問我今年想要什麼禮物

當時我並沒有特別想要的東西

Ever since Haru was born, Japan grandparents think that he looks like Hiro. However, Taiwan grandparents think that Haru looks like me. Some of our friends even think that Haru looks like Mai. Well, Haru is almost four months old now and we really want to know that he looks like Hiro, Amy, or Mai. Please let us know about your opinion.

For me, Haru looks like me.

For Mai, she doesn't care at all.
